‘Tis the season to be jolly right? I’m very jolly right now, but incredibly busy! I have a christmas dinner to prepare, presents to buy, hair to dye (actually that already happened and I’m not ultra-pleased with it) and papers to cut (more on that next year, I have a big big surprise!)
Needless to say that on the crochet front not much is being finished right now. I’m making a large blanket for my niece, which consists of many granny squares. So I’m just making 3 squares here, 2 squares there, and all in all I think I have enough to start thinking about a pattern.
I love the colours in shades of grey (not 50) she picked, so calm! She wanted grey, black and white. I think I’ll be joining the squares with black, and I’m in doubt about what to do with the white, whether I make some squares from those skeins or incorporate it in the edge. The pattern will most likely be ‘squares within squares’ so colourblocks made out of these small squares. I just have to sit down and lay it all out when I’ve made some more.
Think, think, think, a lot of thinking to do. And even more making to do! I hope my brain can handle all this exercise.
Happy holidays everyone! I’m not sure If I’ll pop in between Christmas and New year, but just to be sure: The best of luck to you in the new year!
