So every now and then I get the urge to make something new, I’m sure that most of you can relate to that. I was thinking about products that would be not to difficult to whip up in a spare moment, but also would come in handy. With the upcoming market (30 nov; Museum Volkenkunde, Leiden, don’t forget!) in the back of my mind, I spilled some soda on my table. Yuck, sticky! But a new idea was born. I’m gonna make some coasters!
I started out with the blue one, got enthusiastic and made about 30 of them in different colours.
I like them mixed and matched as I’m sure you can imagine.
These sunburst coasters are worked in gradient colours for the center and ecru for the outside.
When I was photographing, I was so excited about the sun finally coming out and greeting me that I forgot to put a reflector on the left side of the coasters. This resulted in a bit of uneven light distribution in the picure. I’m probably going to do that again later, but for now it’s OK and I’m just gonna enjoy my new, simple coasters.
The pattern for this can be found in my Etsy shop here!
