The full pattern is now available in one post! Check it out here.
Hi everyone! I’ve been happily hooking on the past few weeks. Every now and then in between the daily tasks and chores I found time to do a few rows. I’m still loosely following my planning. However I found that a few types of stitches simply didn’t work for the yarn/hook/size I was working this blanket in.
Check the progress!
Last time I showed you guys this blanket it wasn’t past the blue granny cluster rows. Now I’ve added quite a few rows!
So to continue with the count of last time:
13. 1 row of 240 HDC’s in Graphite.
14-15. This is my own pattern for waves (which will probably be online soon, whenever I have the time to make a tutorial). It’s a row of Citron and Saffron.
16-19: 4 rows of 240 HDC’s in Graphite.
20: Row of bobble stitches in fondant. I don’t really know how I exactly did this bobble stitch but it turned out really funky didn’t it?
21: Row of bobble stitches in Candyfloss.
22: Row of bobble stitches in Fondant.
23: Row of bobble stitches in Candyfloss.
24-25: Row of 240 HDC’s in Graphite.
26: Row of 240 HDC’s in Cream.
27-29: Row of 240 HDC’s in Spring green.
30-31: Row of 240 HDC’s in Meadow.
32: Row of 240 HDC’s in Spring green.
33: Row of 240 HDC’s in Cream.
34: Row of 240 HDC’s in Graphite.
35: Larksfoot bottom stitch in Saffron.
36-37: Larksfoot stitch in Shrimp.
38-39: Larksfoot stitch in Pomegranate.
40-41: Larksfoot stitch in Claret.
42-44: Row of 240 HDC’s in Graphite.
The larksfoot stitch turned out pretty big. In examples I saw it was much more dense. But that’s the price you pay for working with a 6.0 mm hook I guess. It’s also pretty in a flat way I think.
By the way, 240 stitches is going to make a very large blanket! In the above picture the blanket is fold in third. The blanket measures in width 1.80 m. So I’ve still got some work to do.
I have to say, I love how the stitches work out now. This would make a nice pattern and colour combo for a bulky cowl, don’t you guys agree? Might be that I jot this down sometime and make one.
Have a nice evening you guys! I’m busy working on a few new listings of potholders and coasters in my shop. Take a look, a few listings are already online!
