Hello everyone! Just a quick post to let you know what I've been up to the past week. I haven't been able to crochet for more than 10 minutes at a time due to a slice and dice accident involving my finger and a knife. The bandaid is a real pain in the ass when crocheting... Nevertheless, I managed to work on my wristies! The start was fairly easy, since I've been doing so much Catherine Wheels for the cowl my fingers knew the stitch right away.

I still love how the colours of the Cotton 8 from Scheepjes work together. And as you can see, I worked a double edging. The specifics will come in a later post, but it's pretty simple to make. As the stitches are not blocked yet, the spikes seem to be behind each other. But I'm confident that after blocking they will look a little bit more elegant and a little less bulky.

I don't want to spoil too much of how it's intended to be, but for those of you who worked the catherine wheel know it pretty much impossible to increase or decrease the stitch count here. Still, I wanted to make a wristie that fanned out around your hand. In order to do so, I'm thinking of not closing the wristies completely. This has the additional advantage that there is no messy, sweaty part of your wristwarmers in the palm of your hand after a while! But that's all for the ta-dah! For now, I have to weave in some ends...
