And as the final part in this quick project, here’s the free crochet pattern for the Halloween mug cozy!
Yarn: I’ve used two different Scheepjes yarns, Scheepjes Bonbon and Scheepjes Cotton 8. Both are 100% cotton and therefore suitable for washing, in case your mug cozy gets dirty! I’ve used the following colours:
- 281 Tangerine
- 412 Forest Green
- 110 Black
- 130 Old Lace
Crochet needle: 3.0mm for the Cotton 8 and 1.5mm for appliques.
- A button (2.5 cm)
- A mug (the mug I used was approx. 8 cm in diameter and 9.5cm in height)
Size: Finished and blocked cozy measures 24 cm in length and 9 cm in height. If your gauge isn’t matching this, please adjust the amount of beginning chains to fit your mug or your hooksize.
Abbreviations (US terms):
- Ch: chain
- dc: double crochet
- hdc: half double crochet
- ss: slip stitch
- st: stitch
