Harlequin Blanket

12.Apr.17 / Kirsten Ballering

Get ready to bring a wave of colour into your home with the Harlequin blanket! The Catherine wheel pattern emerges as more diamond shaped on the front, and kind and gentle round wheels on the back. The colours are yours to play with, and while you can create a colourful vibrant blanket such as mine, you can just as easily make a gentle and delicate blanket in more neutral tones.

The pattern for the Harlequin Blanket is also available as a styled and advertisement- free PDF in the Haak Maar Raak shop.

Notes

  • The dc7tog in Row 3 can be easily recognized as you are working in all stitches between two ch-1 sps.
  • If your Catherine wheels are looking cramped, try making 8 ch in Row 3 and 5 instead of 7 ch. This won’t influence other instructions in the blanket.
  • Ch1 at the end of a row is a turning chain and doesn’t count as a st.
