Use the yarn tail to sew the stem to the bottom of your Ice Pop Christmas tree, in the middle 3 stitches of the first piece. Weave in loose ends.

Star

With Colour G, make a magic ring.

Round 1 (RS) Ch1 (does not count as stitch), (1sc, picot) 5 times, ss to first sc. Fasten off and leave a 15 cm yarn tail. [5 sc, 5 picots, 1 ss]

Use the yarn tail to sew the star to the top of your Christmas tree, in the center stitches of your last piece.

Flattening

Your Ice Pop Christmas tree might curl up at the edges. This can be easily fixed by ironing your piece gently, using a towel in between your iron and Christmas tree for protection. Optionally, you can spray the Christmas trees with Stiffening Spray to make them slightly more sturdy.
