Techniques

Crocheting over chains

Hold the chain over the bottom of the tree(or other sections of your tree, if you’re in Row 24 or 40) (photo 1). Sc in the st of the last row of your tree trunk/previous section, catching the chain in your single crochet (photo 2-3). It’s similar to tapestry crochet where you catch the other threads, only this time it’s a chain. Continue until you’ve reached the last stitch on the base of the tree, then crochet in the remaining chains again.
